The Philippine DOH seems recklessly reassuring and dismissive about the crisis

"But since DOH and DOST already released a bulletin that the Philippines is safe from radiation exposure, the public has nothing to worry about. Peralta further confirmed that it is highly unlikely for the radiation from Japan to reach Philippines."

“It is nearly impossible. We are too far from Japan,” says Dr. Agnette Peralta, head of the DOH-Bureau of Health Devices and Technology.
